Happy Monday, we hope your weekend was great! Today for our #MindfulnessMonday we want
to talk about our “why”, our motivation, our reasons for doing something. And we don’t mean
the little things like why we bought that new handbag or why we put half and half in our coffee
instead of 2% milk, but the bigger “whys” in our lives.
Too often, the why nots are way too easy to find – it’s too expensive, I don’t have the time, I
wouldn’t be good at it, I’m scared, it makes me uncomfortable, people won’t support me etc.
And this can apply to anything from changing career paths, to choosing a new romantic partner
to a business venture. The why nots are really easy to find. Finding our why can be the harder
part, but when we can make our whys so much bigger and brighter than our why nots then we
just might get what we really want.
So, on this #MindfulnessMonday, take a second and ask yourself what your why is, be it today,
this week, this month, this year or this life. Take a good look and try to block out all those pesky
why nots that are so eager to fill our heads. Get them out of the way for a few minutes and
make your why so big and great that even though the why nots are there, we go for it anyway,
we do it anyway. Find your purpose and go for it. Do it anyway, and you won’t regret it.
